New Dawn

Waiting on the promise of a new dawn
for the light that brings me home

Hoping that the new day will be a different place
A place of love instead of hate

Crying that my evil heart will open soon
And save them from a certain death

Sitting on the edge of insanity
Mind twisted to tragedy
Destroying all that I see

Waiting for a savior to come to me
Knowing this will never be
My world burns in front of me

Violence and hate tear my world apart
Can't tell where anything starts
Won't stop 'till they all are gone

Wicked dreams fill my mind at night
The knife my only respite
Filling their lives with this fright

Waiting for the coming of the new dawn
For the light that's brought me home
